2010 Display

Welcome Christmas

The 2010 Display is shaping up to be our best ever. The theme for this year is "Candy Cane Land". Judy Pancoast, singer of "The House on Christmas Street", was in Elgin on December 4. She sang concerts throughout the day at Holiday by the Tracks. Following the Elgin Firemen's Lighted Christmas Parade, Judy was at Main Christmas in Elgin to perform a great concert.

In addition, We are sponsoring the Down Home Ranch this year through contributions from those who enjoy the show and would like to give back. A drop box is available at the display to accept donations of retail gift cards that can be redeemed by the Down Home Ranch. If you don't have a gift card, cash will be accepted. All proceeds will go to benefit the Ranchers at Down Home Ranch.

If you would like to make a secure contribution via PayPal, please click on the following button.

We have 6 Light-O-Rama controllers this year. This makes a total of 96 channels. In addition to the sequenced channels, the static elements are controlled by 5 separate 15 amp timers. The number of lights is now at 43,400. The Mega Tree is built on a base from Christmas Light Show. It contains 22,700 lights. The tree can transition between white, red and green. It also includes a 6 foot cross, a nativity and a 3 dimensional star topper. Strobes are back and a Peppermint fence defines the space. Gumdrops, miditrees (taller than minitrees) and light poles outline the yard. The animated North Pole and Lolly Pops are back this year.
